Turned up without a booking and was lucky – the place was busy on a Monday night. I immediately noticed the food being brought to other tables and it looked great. I ordered cod, chips and mushy peas. When it came it was delicious. I hadn’t spotted the fact that they say “unlimited chips” and as I got well through my first portion I was asked if I’d like some more and I did – they were great chips. It’s a nice place with friendly staff and it’s busy. The food is very fresh and delicious. I didn’t have a starter but the avacado prawn starter looked amazing, I’ll have that next time.

Service was unusually warm & crisp here; felt welcomed as soon as I was greeted, was convinced (wrongly) that the Server was the owner-THAT kind of attention. Fish and Chips were FRESH & generous portion = PERFECT. Value seemed fair and service memorable. I’ll be back

Discovered this Fish & Chip Shop after work. It was a 20 minute easy walk from Coal Drops Yard. It’s so comforting eating a hot portion of cut fried potatoes and these chef’s superseded my expectations. I ordered open regular chips to Takeaway. The premises was clean, staff very welcoming, and they can even do your chips extra crispy which made me smile when I heard the customer in front of me request that. It was delicious and stayed hot in temperature down to the last chip. Baring in mind it took 30 minutes to finish the whole thing ( Regular chips: costing £3) I really enjoyed your food, thank you.

Visited this Restaurant AGAIN last week and the meal was delicious, cooked to perfection. The chefs know exactly what they’re doing because the quality of the meal was enjoyable. Thank you so much for my complimentary chips, gingerbeer and tartar sauce.

Delicious meal!! The berry crumble with hot custard had to be one of the best I’ve had not too sweet and perfectly comforting! The chips were crispy and fresh paired so well with the fried fish. The starters were also full of flavour. Definitely recommend!

Visited on a Tuesday evening (14th October) and was genuinely impressed from start to finish. I ordered the whole grilled sea bass with chips, and it was cooked to absolute perfection — soft, delicate, and melt-in-the-mouth. You can tell they know their fish here. A pleasant surprise was the free refills on chips when dining in — I’ll admit, I couldn’t resist and went for three rounds! The chips were crisp outside, fluffy inside, and always freshly served. I finished with a crumble that’s honestly the best I’ve had in years, and it paired perfectly with a nice draught beer. The restaurant has that upscale fish restaurant feel — polished yet relaxed, and the service truly elevates the experience. Monica in particular was outstanding: attentive, warm, and genuinely caring without ever being intrusive. It was busy enough to have a great atmosphere but not overcrowded. Everything felt well-balanced and smoothly run. An easy five stars from me — a place that reminds you why British seafood done right is unbeatable. Can’t wait to go back.

Excellent fish and chips. My son had cod grilled with garlic butter which was amazing. I had cod fried with matzo breading which was also delicious. The tiramisu was so good that we almost licked the plate haha. The service was very good. We were worn out from a lot of walking so they let us move into an empty room but still kept a close eye on any of our needs. I highly recommend them and would go back again.

North Sea Fish Restaurant is fabulous! The beauty and essence of this restaurant is the fact they only serve fresh fish…never frozen. My husband and I were a bit disappointed that no scallops were available tonight, but the Dover Sole could not have been better prepared. It was absolutely delicious! My husband and I had to resist eating the bones. It was that good. Monica and Vahid did a great job serving everything and Chris, the manager, is always very friendly and personable. My husband and I cannot wait to return to North Sea Fish Restsurant on our next trip back to London.
